Honestly the Loire Valley tip is solid, and Provence is another one that gets overlooked by people focused too much on Paris. Lavender fields, little hilltop villages, great local wine, the whole thing just feels like it was built for couples. The driving part is actually what makes that region worth it because some of those spots aren't reachable any other way. You can sort out rent a car in France here
